Velle wears her Mask (“Threnody”) quite a lot. If Nolle took to his with caution and politeness, Velle takes to hers with Zeal. She seems like another person in it, like an older, more intense version of herself. Her Voice is deeper. Her Eyes seem wider, especially behind the Mask. She has even more confidence in ordering the rest of the house around. Säve seems quietly satisfied at having captured another House member’s Character in ner work. It all makes you a bit uneasy. You are not sure whether you are keen or scared to, presumably some day soon, have a Mask of your own.
