How Binding Was It

It was too binding. The Contract did not provide sufficiently certain conditions for when one House member’s Turn at pursuing their Theory was to end. Loopholes existed. And the binding nature of the Charmed Contract Song led everyone involved to participate to the utmost of their ability, ratcheting ever further into exploiting those Loopholes in service of the Theory whose turn came first. Not by compulsion. But by the Charm compelling them to genuinely want to.

(What’s the difference between being compelled to do something, and being compelled to want to do something?)
